Subject: Last minute 70.3?
I am struggling to make a race schedule decision so I thought I would turn to you guys. So here's the deal I just realized I will be a few hours a way from the Muskoka 70.3 when it's held in July. I ran Boston last month so my training so far this year has been mostly run based, however, in the last month I've been back on the bike (4x week), back in the pool (sporadically), and my running is still solid. As this race is just a bit over a month away, I'm wondering if I should just go for it and treat it like a fun B race/ start to the season or if it's a foolish idea and I should save my money? Thoughts?

Thanks all!

I think that as long as you go into the race with the attitude of having fun/B race, go for it. Will it hurt, probably, but if you are going to be there anyway, might as well race

I just finished the NYC marathon on Sunday and I think I'm going to venture into triathlons. I am doing an Olympic distance and I want to do a 70.3 next year too. Any advice?

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
