Go BUCKS!!!

I decided to give this Triathlon thing a whirl before I turned 40. About a year ago I got in to swimming at the gym for my cardio so I wasn't only doing pure weight training. A few months later I ended up with car issues and found a used mountain bike on CL and had it for a short while just to get me from work a few times a week. I ended up enjoying it and shortly after purchased a cheap road bike from Wal-Mart (which I am still using), which was recommended to me by someone who had cycling experience. He said to buy something inexpensive and see if I like it and upgrade later if I stuck with it. Well here it is and I am going to be doing my first Tri on 6/21, just about 2 months shy of turning 40. Had I know that I would have been enjoying it this much I would have saved up for a good bike and wetsuit, neither of which I plan on doing until next year.

EXCITED - SCARED - OPTIMISTIC - PROUD

I had read the articles on BT, I'd trained, and I thought I had prepared. There were, however, a few things that I didn't internalize despite what I'd been told.
