I'm new to the sport, have just under a year of riding experience, so I don't need a top of the line bike. But, I'm at the point where I need the aggressive set up to pick up time. I'm fortunate enough to be getting a new TT bike (yay!), and some of the bikes I'm going to try are the Argon 18 e112 and e116. I can't really find any current reviews of the 2014 or 2015 models. If anyone has personal experience with these bikes, I'd love to get your take on how they handle, feel, etc. I'm also looking at a Fuji Norcom straight, for whatever that's worth.

Thank you!

Those are two different handling and fitting bikes. The E116 is a lot quicker steering and the E112 is longer and slower handling. Not sure that's a big deal for TT/Tri's but they ride differently. I have a E99 (Electron Pro Track bike) and a E116. The E99 is based on the E112 mold and is longer and different bottom bracket height than the E116 for sure. There is also a stack height difference between the E116 and E112. You'll want to ride them and see which one fits and feels best for you.

The brakes on the E116 can be finicky to set up but once dialed they are great. Turned out the shop I got mine from put the front return sprigs in backwards and that was causing some alignment and drag issues. The ride on the E116 is super nice and it climbs really well (I live in a hilly area).

No experience with the Norcom. I did have a Fuji Track Pro, but that's apple and oranges different.

I have an E118(2013) that I really like. A buddy of mine has the E116(new) that I think he really likes too. The 116 cockpit is definitely much more adjustable in my opinion. My only complaints are very minor 1) the extended frame section between the top tube and down tube makes it difficult to attach a bag for nutrition. (Cervelo got this right in their new ride with the screw holes on the top tube) 2) I wish the would have allowed mounts for a water bottle on the seat tube. But it rides really nice. If you can afford DI2 do it. It's awesome.

I noticed the HED disc, is it a jet 9? I'm planning to buy that for my argon E112, do you think it will fit my frame?

That's a Stinger disc on my track bike. I run tubular tyres for track. There's ample bottom bracket area clearance but I don't know if Argon made any changes in that area. The rear spacing is track specific for sure.

Triathletes are not invincible. Some of us like to think we are, but that is just not true. Anything can happen to us in open water. So why not make sure you are prepared for an emergency?

I started riding this spring with the Carnac shoes on Look pedals (with plenty of float). About five minutes into a ride I get sharp pain on the outer edge of my feet, just behind the pedal.
