Subject: Tris in June and July
Hey, ppl. I'm going to Ft. Huachuca for most of June and July and haven't found many tris happening in that time frame. Besides trifind, what are some sites that list tris in Arizona?

Any tris that you'd recommend (or don't)? I'll be arriving the 7th of June, so tris need to be the weekends after that. Also, am prob interested in tris that are, at most, 2-3 hours away.

Some that I see:

Payson Sprint
Town of Chino Valley
Oro Valley
Firecracker Tri
JCC Scottsdale Firecracker Revers

you're coming to the hotter part of the year, so likely only some early morning sprint tri's.

 

only other one's I know are Goodyear (7/5) and the Mountain Man Sprint in Flagstaff (7/12). I love the Mountain Man tri's - - no frills, but for those of us who live in AZ, it's one of the few chances to race in the cooler temps. Sierra Vista to Flag is way outside your 2-3 hr range though.  If you can make a weekend of it, might be a good one.

www.getsetaz.com used to be better updated for tri's, but seems to have more of the running races and less multisport

Are you here now? Steelhead is this Saturday on post, and you can register through Wednesday. Mountain Man Sprint in Flagstaff, a bit of a drive, is on July 12. If you hang around through August Mountain Man Oly and Half are on 8/16 Hummingbird is at the city pool, The Cove, on 8/22.

I'm not there now...i won't arrive until late afternoon on Sunday. Too bad. That would have been convenient!

I won't be there past late July...will take a look at Flagstaff MMO. Thanks!
