Whenever I look around at running form videos, it usually features people running at a good clip. They'll often show examples of Olympic marathon runners cranking out 4 minute miles, really driving their knees forward,  their heels nearly hit their butts, and their stride looks fairly elongated. When I run fast intervals, I don't feel like my form looks that bad, but what about running easy 10 minute miles? I've always considered the dreaded shuffle to be a "bad" thing, but this guy claims it's more efficient. I know we've got some excellent runners and coaches on this board, does anyone have any thoughts on this?

There is absolutely NOTHING in that video that has anything to do with fast running.

I know, that's why I was looking at this video in particular. I've seen plenty of fast pace running videos, but I want to know what good form looks like at something like 10 minute miles.

I don't have an answer, but I am interested in the discussion.  It seems logical that you could do this for an endurance event and save energy.  Engaging more of your body would only produce speed and his goal is efficiency.  If I am dragging, and feel like I am relying on my arms too much, I focus on activating my calf muscles for a springier step.  But I would never do that, naturally, for a long run/race.

I always thought this was good in highlighting the difference between running for max speed, and running for distance

That original video is about how I am running now-- but I am trying to go REALLY easy with minimal impact as I am recovering from a concussion.

As LB said, it doesn't do much for learning how to run fast.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
