Subject: Reversible or zero offset / setback seatpost?
Hi, I have a regular road bike with a clip on handlebar, but I'd like to get closer to a triathlon geometry. One problem is that the seatpost cannot be set forward far enough. I know there are some specific triathlon seat posts fort this, for example:

and

I've also heard that bontrager seat posts can be reversed. I've tried reversing mine, but then the seat angle is not adjustable enough (it basically points upwards)

Both of the above are quite pricey however. Does anyone know any other (cheap) seat posts with zero offset, or seat posts that can be reversed?

Just be aware that a road bike is not necessarily designed to be ridden with a forward weight bias and may not handle the best. Instead of moving you towards the aerobars, why not replace the aerobars to move them towards you? Look for ITU style of "shortie" bars. Vision Tech Mini TT for example.

I have pedals with the cage and when I ride 2+ hours my legs feel much more tired then if I took out my husband's bike with clipless pedals. Do clipless pedals truly make the difference?
