Subject: How to Get to Mont Tremblant?

Hi all!  I have my heart and mind set on doing IMMT in 2016, and am in the early stages of planning out the logistics.  My biggest question at present is how to get there without spending a fortune.  I'll be traveling with my hubs and two kids in tow, and airfare into Montreal and Ottawa is looking rather steep.  Where have others flown into on their way to Tremblant that might be more cost effective?

Flight prices are what they are. We flew into Montreal and the prices were on par with any other flight of that duration into a major airport. Other options would be flying into smaller airports like Syracuse or Albany or maybe somewhere real small like Burlington, VT and making the 5 hour drive each way. No way you're getting a direct flight into those airports and odds are just as costly.

I'm just surprised to be seeing tickets $100+ more than I usually pay for a flight into the DC area (from Denver).

Shaping up to be my most expensive ironman, yet, but it will be worth it, right?!

I think I paid about $600 per ticket for a direct flight from Houston to Montreal. Which was about what I paid three weeks prior flying to Vancouver for Ironman Canada.

not sure if it's cheaper, but Porter (flyporter.com) flies into the airport near Tremblant. There are shuttles from the airport to the resort.

Porter serves Washington, Boston and NewYork.

YES, IMMT is worth it.

You can also check flights to Plattsburgh, NY. Plattsburgh is around 35 mins south of Montreal, and in alot of ways is a secondary airport for Montreal. Rental cars will probably be cheaper from Plattsburgh, and airport taxes are lower too. Good luck.

Like Brian said, IMMT is sooo worth it!!

prices are what they are so if you can afford it, it will be your easiest travel option. Depending on your work schedule and family, it could make for an EPIC road trip if you had like 2-3 weeks vacation to burn.....

We are often asked the question, "What size frame should I buy" and the answer is “it depends”. I know that’s not the answer you want to hear, but hopefully the following will shed some more light.

Soon after I got married, I decided I needed to get motivated to work out and focus on getting back into shape. I could barely jog a quarter-mile without needing a walk break.
