Subject: 7.29.15 What Up Wednesday

Good morning BT!

5:00am:  30 minute walk

5:30am:  Insanity Cardio recovery---basically stretching and deep muscle work.

Later: Chasing CC runners and then my 11 year old daughter and I are finally doing our triathlon!  And speaking of triathlons--one of my cross country runners is so inspired by my triathlon journey that he signed up for a sprint over Labor Day!  I'm so excited for him!

HR...I imagine you're busy packing--you head back tomorrow don't you?

Headed to my local veldrome to do some laps!!!!! Hoping to get around 15 miles in!!! Best cycling workout in my opinion!!!

Maybe a 7 pm run if I can fit it in!!

Morning!

With the kids being home, had to shuffle things around a bit this week.

6am - 1800 yd swim with 1000 time trial to get a time for my coach.

Well...I'm slower than I was the last time I tested(by 10 seconds, but still, would have liked to be a little faster) - so frustrating!

Going for an easy 30 min run to try and cheer up.

Yep--maybe I should log packing. By this point in the game, it's pretty physical (trying to cram things in and close the bag). Planning about 3K of swimming today. From lots of experience, particularly if I've raced recently, better not to run the day before 24 hours or so of enforced sitting. Seriously, I would rather swim/bike/run for that length time than sit on a plane. Enjoy the family tri!

8 am- 13 mile ride (2mi. hard, 2mi. easy x3 plus 1 mile sprint)
9 am- 1 mile run after T1 practice
I really need to keep working on transition. It still takes me 10 seconds to get my helmet buckled.

6:30PM  masters swim got cut short by thunderstorms after about 15 minutes.  

Going to try to squeeze in a short run this afternoon if the weather holds.

I'm on the other side of the college-student desk. I'm the one with the red pen in my hand. Those of us with schedules that change from day to day actually have an advantage, I think.
