Subject: RE: Training ride for IM and not getting lost I just prerode the new challenge penticton full and half courses, which changed from previous years.
I always look at the maps, write down the names of all the important turns/landmarks, and actually will go into google streetview so that I can look for landmarks as well.
This really helps to visualize the course.
Also, you can dump a course onto TrainerView, and virtually "ride" through a course while on the trainer or something too, can be great if you do any trainer work and have races coming up where you don't know the area.
I think you map it out on mapmyride, and then can use that url to build the course, and it uses google map streetview and plays through it like a video.
