Subject: Sea of Blue- Fallen Memphis Officer

This weekend a Memphis Police officer was murder when he was making a traffic stop. The gunman fled the scene. He did turn himself into the US Marshal's on Tuesday. Last night  was the visitation for the fallen officer and the "Sea of Blue"

If you have never witnessed a "Sea of Blue" (and I hope there is no need for a Sea of Blue) it is quite an amazing thing. LE offices from all over came to show their respects for this officer. There were over 900 police cars, driving in a processional, all with their blue lights going paying their respects to this officer. It is truly a mesmerizing sight to see an endless line of blue lights.

R.I.P Officer

In June of this year Rio Rancho, NM had the unfortunate honor of burying an officer killed in the line of duty. His "final dispatch"  was heartbreaking to hear. As my (adult) son and I watched the long procession of cars from the state, surrounding cities, counties, nearby states, federal, tribal, fire and emt, my son commented that it's sad that the police are so good at burying their dead.

Fall's also the time to shop! In fact, now's the best time to retool some of your triathlon equipment for next year, right before the Christmas season begins to jack prices upward.
