Do you have any other program on the computer using Ant+ communication? Had the same problem and uninstalling a "competing" software solved the problem.

No just the garmin stuff. I had Garmin connect for a long time and I thought I would upgrade to the garmin express. It shows the 910xt and it says usb detected. I still have another computer that only has the garmin connect on it.

You need to uninstall any other Garmin communicator programs like ANT agent for express to work. You can also try to force the watch to sync.

Ok I will uninstaller ANT agent. I already tried to force the transfer and nothing.
I swear I should have listened to the voice in my head that said don't upgrade from garmin

Garmin express works great. A huge improvement over the old communicator plugin. But it really should erase the old software on its own when it installs.

For some reason, it doesn't always connect for me. Removing the ant+ and putting it back in always seems to work for me

I put on Garmin Express when I purchased my 920xt.  It worked great for that watch, but my wife's 310XT using ANT+ never worked right.  Eventually, I removed Garmin Express from the home CPU and  reinstalled the ANT+ agent to get her watch to sync again.

The 920 doesn't need to sync through the CPU, so I charge it at work.

I don't care for the lack of a sync button. My watch is going to run the batteries waiting for Garmin Express to decide to sync
