What's the best meal in the Capitol area for Saturday pre-race dinner? High end or low. Great food but race friendly. I ate at Tutto Pasta last year and took half of it home. There are countless great beer and burger places for Sunday night...cheese, prime rib...plenty of rewards.

Where will you be staying?
As you said, there are countless great places in town. Might I recommend Lombardino's on Old University. (maybe 1.5 miles from downtown, very bikeable if that's your ride). Anything on the square will be a good meal. Centro, on the square, is great as well.
Depends on your style and budget. Lombardino's will get my highest recommendation.

Welcome to MadTown and hope you have a great IM Moo race!

Well, the "best meal" will be quite debatable and subjective, that's for sure.

I've liked Tutto, also.

Check the restaurant recommendation on this page, if interested, otherwise, there's many selections to be found:

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.

While carbo-loading sounds simple (just stuff yourself with pasta, right?), the truth is that many endurance athletes make food mistakes that hurt their performance.

What most athletes forget to realize is that all the training in the world will go down the toilet if the pacing or the nutrition plan isnt executed properly.
