Did some re-testing this week to see my progress. Don't have a PM so I've been using HR (and Run Pace) to set my zones. I know that the zones are going to be different for each sport, but my LTHR for the run was 181 and for the bike was 177. Is it normal to have this much of a difference between the two?

Yep, mine is roughly 10 bpm difference. But I haven't done it in a while and have noticed that my run HR has dropped, and my bike HR is the roughly the same, maybe slightly higher. I should retest.

Most athletes have a difference of 5-10bpm between bike and run LTHR so you're in range.

ETA: Well, almost, hehe.

As others mentioned, it's a little unusual for them to be that close.

Mine may be even closer, so it was little surprise to me earlier on that more do seem to be farther apart.

The boat was being tossed around. Someone noted that there were whitecaps on the waves. Another guy said, “This is going to be challenging.” I began to wonder what he meant by 'challenging'.
