Good morning BT!

Back at it after being down for the count over the weekend, didn't feel good at all. Much better today.

4:30am:  20 minute power walk warm up

5:00am:  Insanity Pure Cardio + strength training

Homecoming Week is upon us...let the craziness begin. It's going to be one long week!  Have a great day!

Glad you're feeling better!

3000m of swimming, mostly a bunch of sprint sets. My arms are toast now. I think I OD'd on those half-ironman threshold distance sets this year and lost all semblance of speed--definitely worked some different muscles tonight. And what was with the 400 IM "cooldown"? These are from Sara McLarty's masters' website, but wondering if I copied something wrong there! Will sleep well tonight.

Masters swimming this morning at 6AM.  Never seem to swim well on Monday mornings.

Main set was 11 x 100 on 2:00.  First 6 were OK, last 5 were less so .   Pretty gassed.

Hopped on the tri bike for the first time in 3-4 years this morning. Just did 5 or 6 miles around the neighborhood to get the feel for it again. Did a 3 mile run shortly after

Spin class madness. Lots of standing sprints tonight and legs feeling it a little.

Homecoming week?

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
