Seems this forum has pretty die.

For those that still frequent BT, WTC announce a new 70.3 in Delaware.

Died? not sure if it ever had much life

It is nice to see another option come to the area, but curious how the race will do.  It doesn't seem that races do well in this are at this time of year.

Hello,

I have noticed that the other day. Been spending some time this season within the United States. The other option would be Challenge Family Cedar Point!

When I click on register, it shows the relays are sold out. I'm not very familiar with 70.3 races having done all of mine with "non-branded" organizations like Setup and Toughman. Is it really possible that the relays sold out that fast for a new race? Any idea how many relay entries are available for such a race? Makes me wonder how quickly this event may sell out. Is the Ironman brand that much of a draw? We always thought that Deer Creek and Cedar Point were pretty good half irons and Deer Creek is half the price....

I just saw general entry is sold out. I was on the fence doing this race, and the decision was made for me. I was hoping to see the course maps prior to signing up.

That's crazy, I didnt think it would go that quickly but I guess it matches to the thread on the main page.....the power of the ironman brand!

I just signed up and this is my first trip-event. I would love some help on training and such. What do I need, training plans, nutrition, any groups train together in the Lebanon area?

I have used the training plans here on BT for all of my HIM, I believe it was the intermideate plan under silver membership. I have done well with thud and felt very prepared for the race so would recommend that one.As for training groups, I am too far north to know of anyone specific in that area but I am sure there is something as there used to be a try store in Lebanon so there has to be something. If not look up the try club in Cincinnati Either which way, enjoy the journey as itmis a great adventure we go out on!

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
