I'm planning on signing up. Family in Columbus, so a nice family trip.

What's the terrain\elevation like up there?

The terrain is mostly farmland and gentle rollers.

It seems like this is the first Ironman-branded event ever in Ohio. We have full iron distance races and lots of tris, but I don't remember there ever being an IM event in Ohio before. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Exciting!

Went to the website today and it's already sold out. Apparently a good decision to offer it.

I was amazed at how fast it sold out! Even with there not being any course maps up yet! Luckily I had made the decision to do it in advance and signed up a few days before it sold out. I have family in Columbus so it works out to be a nice family vacation for me.

I just finished the NYC marathon on Sunday and I think I'm going to venture into triathlons. I am doing an Olympic distance and I want to do a 70.3 next year too. Any advice?

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
