Subject: Summer races by a beach
Hi All,

Does anyone know a race that is HIM or Oly that is close to a beach in the months Jun-Aug, my wife wants to make a race a family vacation

We live in Nashville so looking for a drive only.

Hey Chris...in short, no.

I think you would be hard pressed to go south any later than May. You probably could find an Olympic in Pensacola or Jacksonville. The other thought is to look east toward Charleston, Hilton Head, Wilmington but that is a painful drive.

Lastly, if the beach isn't a requirement there are plenty of venues you could do and turn it into a family vacation. Steelhead is on Lake Michigan. Probably several Wisconsin/Minnesota races on nice lakes or resort towns. Just a different thought.
