I'm racing (participating in) Mont-Tremblant next year. I usually like to stay at an upscale hotel for IM as a reward for my wife putting up with me through training. Does anyone have any first hand recommnedations for a nice hotel at MT? The closer to the IM venue, the better. Thanks.
There are a ton of places right in the village that are within a few minutes walk of transition. I've heard good things about the Marriot and the Hilton. Personnally I've stayed at the Kandahar but that's hardly upscale.

The Marriot and the Westin - the Westin in particular. It's in the village - not quite as close as the Marriott but they keep the gondola open on race night so you can get there without hurting too much. I think the Marriott is basically right near the finish - our one friend stayed there when we did it - had a nice breakfast and good free wifi which other village hotels do not have.
The Westin, another training buddy stayed at but i didn't really talk to him about it.

Stayed at tour des voyageurs- awesome, literally 50 meters to finish line, 100 to the transition area. if I go back, I will stay there. 300-400 per night, but worth it in my opinion.
