My family knows all about my freakout forts. They have pillows and blankies and are usually stocked with alcohol and candy and notepads for figuring paces and other fun numbers for triathlons and maybe some device to make my training workouts on a spreadsheet...

Well, I'll be in the fort the rest of the week if you need me... Don't be surprised if you hear whimpering and crying from inside. Maybe a few curse words, too.

I just signed up for IMMOO.

I'll be the first to say "congratulations", then.

I hope to be in the same spot (signing up) next summer.

Hope you rock it. Take a lot of mental notes. This one and CDA are what I'm looking at.

No need to freak out..just start at the beginning and take one step at a time until you get to the end :-)

Yup, save the freakout fort for the week/month before the race.

Freakout fort, lol nice!

As long as you have done your due diligence in planning your year so you can have a good training year with a good plan/coach then you just need to execute and you'll be on the way.

Expect crap to happen in the months leading in, never compare your training to others, just do your job.

$hit will happen race day, just don't expect everything to go to plan, have backup plans and you will be rewarded with a good race and great year. See you in Madison!

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
