Good morning BT!  I imagine there are Turkey Trots Galore going on right now!

5:30am:  7 mile run:  1 mile easy/2 mile race pace/1mile easy/2 mile race pace/1 mile easy.

6:45am:  30 minutes plyos + core

My family and I are heading into Salt Lake City today--going to hit a Thanksgiving buffet on the way out of town. 19 years living in a casino town and we've never done a casino Thanksgiving buffet!  Tomorrow--car shopping!!!  I'm so excited for my first 'for real' grown up car!  I'm looking very seriously at a 2016 Jeep Trailhawk.

I am thankful for all you BT Peeps!  Just knowing there are other crazies like me out there helps me get up every day! We rock!

Jamie--aren't those pancakes delicious!  Made me laugh you made them right away!

I am celebrating 7 weeks back to full time training since my Car Wreck and severe concussion in July.  I though a Turkey Trot would be a good way to celebrate my progress.  I was going to be in Dallas and they have a huge race with thousands of runner.  My parent change plans though so they came to Okieland instead of us going to Texas, so I am holding off on the Trot until the Festival of Lights evening run in two more weeks, but warm wishes to all the gabbler wabblers.

Up early for 18mile bike ride in the cold. finished up with a 2 mile run and a upper body workout. Fired the smoker up, pulled the turkey out of the whiskey/maple brine. Now he's smoking away for the next 4-5 hrs. Football time and a couple of beers with family.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the BT folks!

Well, I was hungry!!

Glad to hear you're back into training Curtis. Sorry to hear about your accident this year.

I had a lovely 6 mile run in the rain. Nice and warm, but it won't last long. I'm reading 27-32 degrees on Saturday with 100% chance of rain for my long run. Basically the worst possible scenario. Hope all the turkey trotters had a great race today.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Not too much time to work out today, so I'm taking today off. This year was my dad's first attempt at making a Thanksgiving dinner because we usually go visit family, and he succeeded. I especially liked the turkey. Off to play some games and watch a movie!

60 minutes on the bike in the garage between pie baking, turkey dressing, veggie chopping, etc. Didn't have time for a long workout, so I made up for it with intensity!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Did a 5K Turkey Trot with the family. I'm on strict no running so just walked with my younger son and a friend while my husband ran with my older son. It was nice but I missed running it.

Lots of food and fun with my family. Now just chilling out at home!

Have a great night!

Well...the beginning of the Summer before the car wreck I was running sub 18 minute 5K.  At the Garden of  Lights race I was sub 19 minutes but just by the skin of my teeth.  The time was slower than what I was hoping for but I did finish 4th overall in about the biggest 5K race I have ever run.  If there are more than 300 people at a 5K I feel it is a huge 5K and typically see fewer than 200 people at a 5K.  This race had almost  800 people.  Well after a hard race I get a day of recovery for every mile I ran so yesterday was an easy recovery run and so will be today's run. Tomorrow I start 8 weeks of base to build my volume to where it needs to be going into my 20 weeks training plan for my next 70.3 Triathlon.

Don’t go without, just watch portion sizes and remember that there is ALWAYS time to get a short workout in…if you make the time!

I'm on the other side of the college-student desk. I'm the one with the red pen in my hand. Those of us with schedules that change from day to day actually have an advantage, I think.
