Subject: White Lake lodging
Anybody have experiences staying in the lodge rooms or cabins? Looking to do half in September, and want to know whether to stay there or somewhere nearby instead.
Other option is OBX; anybody who has done both have an insight on differences for the race? Going to be my first half fwiw.

Also, I think d00d usually stays right around there somewhere. I'm sure he can chime in.

As to the two races, I've only done WL not OBX so can't comment on the differences. But I'm guessing that aside from being flat they have pretty different feels.

I live close enough that I don't need lodging (about 1.5 hours). Since WL doesn't require checkin the day before, I head out at 4AM, pick up packet and get set up by 6:15-6:30, and then it's time to race.

The cabins and rooms looks pretty nice, and they're on the race site, but I think they all require 2+ days of lodging.

Haven't raced OBX.

I am running Boston in April and Ironman Lake Placid is in July. I have been told that it is ambitious to think about doing an IM so close to a marathon due to the recovery time. Any suggestions?
