Subject: Hello from the Great White North Hi kids,
I'm from New Brunswick Canada, and after a 15 year hiatus I'm coming back to the sport. I did Ironman Florida in 2000, and since then have done 2 Olympic distance triathlons. Life got busy and I got involved in other things. The main reason was, I was never a fan of short distance triathlons, and with a young family and a crazy job it was hard to find time to train.
Now the family, and I are not so young anymore, and the job is less crazy. I ran a ultra marathon (67km ) last year, and loved going long distance again. It was time again to revisit doing another Ironman (s ).
So my plan for this year is to do two half IM's to get prepared for an Ironman in 2017. I was gonna try a full this year, but decided to keep it shorter. I lost a lot of foot speed when training for the ultra last year and need to get it back.
Right now I'm signed up for the Challenge St. Andrew in July, and I'm sitting on the fence about the 70.3 in New Hampshire.
Ironman Mont Tremblant is my goal for 2017.
Cheers
Terry Burt
