Subject: Carbon Fiber Guru Crono Triathlon Bike
Custom-frame Canadian-made Guru Crono complete triathlon bike with Shimano Ultegra/SRAM Force components and Rolf Prima Tempo wheels for sale. The paint has some dings and the bar end shifters are scuffed up but the bike is otherwise in great condition. (Let me know if you want to see photos of the dings/scuff marks.) The fork was replaced and the bike fully repainted by the manufacturer in 2010. It hasn't been ridden in a while so the components will need a tune up and you may want to replace the cassette and chain. You may choose to replace all of the components, but I have no use for them and am throwing them in with the frame. Bike was originally purchased for nearly $5,000. I haven't used it in a couple years and would love for it to find a good home. $900 or best offer (plus shipping - or if you live in SoCal, we can find a way to meet up)

Frame:
-2008 Guru Crono carbon fiber custom frame/fork. I'm 5'11", have a 33" inseam and usually ride a 56cm bike (sometimes 54, depending on manufacturer). Top tube on this bike is about 54cm. If you're around my height and have a similar inseam length, this bike should work nicely for you with a few adjustments. Custom paint - unlikely that you'll see anyone else with the same bike.

Components:
-Shimano Ultegra rear derailleur and brakes
- SRAM Force front derailleur and crankset
- 11/26 cassette
-Vision aerobars with thick CeeGees pads
- Cobb Cycles V Flow Max saddle
- X-Lab Gorilla cage mounted on down tube
- Time RSX carbon pedals
- Aero bottle bracket in between aerobars, very easy to remove if you don't want it

Wheels:
Rolf Prima Tempo wheels with Vittoria Diamante Pro Kevlar Carbon tires. Wheels are in good shape, tubes maintain inflation

Extras:
If you want, I'll throw in a pair of size 11 Pearl Izumi triathlon shoes with cleats and some other random cycling goodies that I have lying around.

Doug was one of the few swimming coaches who really appreciated how important swimming technique is and would spend as much or more time with his athletes making sure they got it right.

A bike is NOT a piece of metal with a couple of wheels at either end and a steering thing to stop you running over old ladies. No! ... a bike is a space-age “weapon of mass confusion.”
