Subject: RE: consideration when choosing inclines/hills and speeds someone sent me a message asking what that study actually said
This picture by a really cool sport scientist illustrates it. His name is Yann Le Meur.
They basically created 5 groups that trained using hills at various inclines, speeds and durations to see who would improve most.
They also measured different adaptions based on the training programs. ALL the groups improved their 5km time. But what is really interesting is the things that changed were different ie lactate threshold, VO2max, economy......One group actually saw VO2max drop. They could debate why, there are papers that discuss that as well.
The B point is probably the important one
That and "hills are your friend" :- )
