Good morning BT!  What's the word?  Has the groundhog seen his shadow?  Too dark here for anyone to see anything!

4:30am:  Run:  1 mile WU/2X1600m/2X800m w 400m RI.  Pushed the pace again--these little legs can move faster than I thought!

Saving plyos for later--off to district offices for Teacher Academy all day.  And yes, district is also 120 miles away--further west though, not east like Salt Lake.

Have a great day and let's hope spring is around the corner...I'm cold!!!

I am in Houston for business this week and got to swim in a 25m pool this morning instead of the 15 yd pool which is the best that my home town has to offer.  It was really cool to swim in a 25m pool.  Oh... and the people in the lanes next to me are a lot faster than the under water power walkers that I am used to having next to me.  I am blown away by the big city. Everyone seems to be stronger and faster here.

Well you got your wish…no shadow so spring is coming.

Cold and winter like here…I love it! Although getting out to the pool was CHILLY! The warm water felt wonderful!

5:15am - 60 min power spin.

8:15am - 2500m swim. Broke it up into 500's which I really liked.

I had a good one and a half hour swim at master's class. They have taken apart my swim and I am now starting to get it back together and hopefully be more speedy.

Here in Northern Ontario, if the groundhog sees its shadow, there will be more than six weeks of winter. If the groundhog doesn't see its shadow, there will be more than six weeks of winter.

No groundhog here, and no shadow. The high has been mid to high 90's every day, so I imagine "winter" is over, if we ever had it in the first place. (I think there was ONE day when the low....before 5 AM....MIGHT have dipped below 70.) "Spring" here means the killing season, with temps routinely in the triple digits and heat indexes as high as the 120's.

Training-wse: AM Hour-ish run with some strides and drills. Nothing in the afternoon. (I switched swim to yesterday as there was a kids' meet. Went to cheer some of my students and runners.)

When it was over I felt a little sad. I had trained for twelve months and the race was over in 72 minutes. My goal was to not come in last which I wasn't. I was content with my accomplishment!
