Good night!

Two workouts this AM, since I wanted to run while it was cool and get my swim done before any kiddos showed up.

6:20-ish--45 minute easy run
8:20-ish--3300m of swimming with a bunch of 200's, 150's, and 10'0's

The pool is still cold as humidity has been low this past week and it's been cooling off a lot at night. If any kids had shown up, they probably would have frozen! Sob....Only three more days of my "pro lifestyle" remaining before it's back to reality. And how.....I have commitments every day after school next week, fly to Singapore Friday, race (sprint aquathlon) Sunday AM, back to Vietnam right after, a three-day overnight trip with the kiddos the following week, and then our league XC meet the next week. Ugh. Maybe life will be more sane after March 1.

Happy Thursday!

6:00am masters swim practice at a toasty 420F  Fortunately no wind, so not too bad.  Water was at it's normal 780F.

1,500 taper workout ahead of my meet coming up this weekend.  Main set was 6 x 150 (50 kick/50 drill/ 50 swim) with no interval, alternating between free and fly.  Just trying swim smooth and in rhythm.

Kept repeating the "Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast" mantra in my head.

3 mile run tonight. Can't remember the last time I had one so short, but it's a taper for what's coming this weekend. I won't tell just yet what it is because I don't want to jinx it.

Hey there! Busy today!

5:15am - power spin - 3x15 sweet spot intervals…sounds boring but my class really liked it! Of course I made it interesting!

8:30am - 20 min eliptical
12 min walk/jog on the treadmill (2 walk, 1 jog), then 8 min power walking up 10% incline
15 min step mill.

So this is the second time I've tried to run a little (PT wanted me to try it). Doesn't feel great but most of the pain is in my SI joint, so trying to figure that out. Happy to be doing a little though…hopefully it's progress!

Volunteered at Field day for my kids from 11-3 - that was a workout in itself and it's 88 DEGREES F here - yuck yuck - so warm already! Not ready for the heat!

You know you live in Arizona when you have to use your air conditioner in February.

I'm on the other side of the college-student desk. I'm the one with the red pen in my hand. Those of us with schedules that change from day to day actually have an advantage, I think.
