Subject: Cedar lake trail & hwy 100
Just rode the trail with all the construction for the first time. Its not bad but its just not ideal, at least they put up a good detour for us to go around.

Just means no wooddale to beltline segments on strava this summer.

BTW who all on here is on strava?

I like the detour for the little climb, plus the change in scenery and chance to ride on Hwy 7.  But yeah, it slows things down!    

One warning:   I was coming from the east and after crossing the bridge and going downhill to get on 7, you have to cross a frontage road. The cars coming from the east don't have to stop and they are in your blind spot, since the path comes at an angle.   I was surprised by this huge SUV barreling towards me.  I know I should expect to stop when crossing a road, but I didn't think to look behind me (basically) until the last second.   Could be a big mistake!

I don't personally do Strava.  I have found that zero data (even lacking a bike computer) makes rides more enjoyable for me.

Tried going on the Dakota Trail this past weekend but they are doing sewer construction around where Wayzata and Orono meet and the trail was blocked at numerous spots. We turned round after a few miles.

I just drove by there the other day and was wondering whats going on. Sound like you will have to try the east side and ride out to still water :-)
