Subject: RE: Cedar lake trail & hwy 100 I like the detour for the little climb, plus the change in scenery and chance to ride on Hwy 7. But yeah, it slows things down! One warning: I was coming from the east and after crossing the bridge and going downhill to get on 7, you have to cross a frontage road. The cars coming from the east don't have to stop and they are in your blind spot, since the path comes at an angle. I was surprised by this huge SUV barreling towards me. I know I should expect to stop when crossing a road, but I didn't think to look behind me (basically) until the last second. Could be a big mistake! I don't personally do Strava. I have found that zero data (even lacking a bike computer) makes rides more enjoyable for me. |
