Mike, I'm sorry for the late reply, but welcome to BT and your 2nd season of tri!

I hope you've looked at joining one of our open Mentor Groups--they're great for support and advice. Good luck!

Hi Mike. It would seem my plan is a year behind yours. I'm new to this but have started training to do my first sprint triathalon. I've always wanted to but just kept talking about it. Decided it's now or never, as I'm 43. I'm in Florida. Anyway, hoping to meet people and chat and learn.

The off season should be just that – a time to rest your body, to rehabilitate injury, and to plan ahead on how to improve performance and prevent injury in the season to come.

The off-season is the best time to fine tune your skills and prepare yourself for the next season. It is also time for you to gain some strength and get a little rest after a long season of training.

As I have reflected over the Tri season this year, I thought about some of the people that I don’t think I will ever forget.
