Subject: Running in Vancouver

Hi, I'm Jeff (in Boise),

I'll be visiting Vancouver April 03-08.  I'll be in the E. 4th Plain Blvd. area (Veteran's Affairs campus).  Could anyone recommend some running areas that I don't have to drive too far for.  Any assistance is appreciated.  Jeff

There is a great running group on Thursdays that meets downtown Vancouver. We run along the waterfront. It's called Run, Grub, Chug. You can find them on meetup or Facebook.

I can train for half marathons on pavement and on trails, but as soon as I change it up to gravel or loose dirt my knee swells and the pain it causes is unreal. Any ideas why this happens?
