Does anyone know of a way to sync all that stuff up? I would like to change more often, but what a hassle keeping Twitter, Facebook, Google, BT, etc current. I may have to go the standard, one pic, never change route. Oh the first world problems!

No idea. But I loved TW's description of leaving the beach yesterday   That will be a great memory.

Yeah, a bit of a wakeup when I looked over my shoulder while sitting in the hammock and said "what time is it?" Much scrambling ensued, but we beat the park ranger at the gate!

Happy Canada Day tomorrow! :D

I've been able to log some good bike time and get more enthused about training in general - thanks, bike commuting!

Other than that doing grown up stuff like meeting with mortgage advisors and looking at window options for our reno and possible rentals to live in while the reno is being done! It's so many decisions!

When do you hope to start construction on the reno?  I know that it's been a process...

We are aiming to start in September. The architect is on board and moving things along to accommodate this.

I know we've been working on it for a long time but i am starting to freak out at the prospect of emptying our house for demo/moving. Holy cow - the thing is going to be hollowed out! We'll be out of the house for 6-9 months while it's being done and spend oh so much money. It will be awesome but there's going to be stressful points in between.

He got the USS Rhode Island which is based in Kings Bay (where he is now) but is currently in Norfolk for an overhaul. We don't know yet if/when they will send him to be with the sub.

He's already mentioned Dopey Challenge 2018, hear that Stacey?

We'll have to look for an IM that doesn't sell out quickly so we have time to figure out when and where he'll be next year.

ETA: and, of course, MCM

Ha, I'm lucky when I can get BT's pic to change for me!!

Which is the reason my pic hasn't changed in 3 1/2 years.

Been working on building a decent faster run back into things. Takes a few times to get the feel again, even with all the regular hard biking that had been going on. Something about the "few times" is that with only 1 of these a week, that means over a month. Possibly nearing 2. Not to get speed back, just for the workout execution again.

I had to switch out the saddle on my bike. The new bike didn't have a male specific saddle, and it is a quarter inch wider than my old saddle. The translation, it shredded my undercarriage. I even used body glide.

Amazing how substantial seemingly small changes like that are.

We're going to need to know when he goes to Norfolk and when you are going to visit him.

Regarding IMs that don't fill overly fast, you might also consider Maryland.  That being said, B2B is between Jacksonville and Norfolk.  Obviously, it's closer to Norfolk but about six hours from Jacksonville and four and a quarter from Norfolk.

Just a Strava request...  I thought I'd be nice and ask if it was a Manatee-in-training or something. ;-)

I feel that the Strava group is in addition to the mentor group.  If she joins the mentor group and participates here...  Does that make sense?

The running aspect of an Ironman triathlon is a marathon. Most people take on a marathon as a single event and the training for this uses up a lot of their time. Here are some tips for the run.

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
