Subject: CycleOps ANT+ Resistance Control for PowerBeam or PowerSync Trainers?
All,

I bought a PowerBean Pro ANT+ trainer last week and am liking it so far - it's quiet and works great with Zwift.

However, last Saturday I just jumped on it for a quick spin, unplugged. Before I bought it, CycleOps tech support told me that, unplugged, it would behave like my SuperMagneto trainer. It does, for the most part, except that the resistance is lower (my highest gear, 50/11, hits about 250W @ 90 RPM cadence).

I'd love to just jump on the thing from time to time without booting up a PC - but, I'd like a little more resistance to work with. The CycleOps Virtual Training 'FreeRide" Mobile App would allow me to adjust resistance. But, the non-subscriber version times out after an hour and I'm not sure I want to pick up another monthly expense just for sporadic use of this feature.

Has anybody else out there found a solution for this?
