Yes, I'm doing the bike portion of an OLY duathlon this Sunday. It was supposed to be a triathlon, but they had to drain Tempe Town Lake (where all our tris are including IMAZ) in order to finish the permanent damn. The water is back, but it still needs to be treated before it is swimmable. So this race turned into a du. Esprit de She so lots of beginners and girl power :-)! Its a bit tricky on the bike course navigating around all the cruisers and hybrids but is a great race and very positive energy. Last year I took 2nd in my AG. This year it's only the bike but it should be fun!

5:30am - 50 min power altitude spin - I teach here: www.livecerulean.com and the altitude in the room is set anywhere between 7,500 and 9,000 ft. Definitely harder and since I have a race, along with usually being tired after the week, these classes are usually cruisers for me…but I make my class WORK!

9:30am - 45 min spin - just took it really easy. trying to save a little in my legs for Sunday!

I had 1 beer and didn't do anything yesterday. Today I did 5mile ride. Too busy working....Hopefully this weekend I can get my log ride in 50-60miles even though calling for rain.

Hmmm, not sure - interesting concept. I have a hard enough time talking thru the microphone…if we all sounded like chipmunks would make for an interesting class.

Thanks! Nothing here Friday except a brief run through the airport when my flight in two hours was cancelled and they put me on one that was boarding in ten minutes. That got the heart rate up a bit. Got to Danang early and was able to get the LBS, who have a booth here, to assemble my bike for me. Supposed to be a day off so all I can report is too much shopping at the "Ironman Store". With both Mother's and Father's Day coming up, as well as two neighbors/colleagues/sometime tri and run buddies who are cat-sitting for me, not all of it was for myself; an embarrassing amount was, though!
