Subject: Winter marathons
I'm looking for a full marathon in December/January in Washington or a driveable distance and I am having the hardest time finding one for this year minus the "last chance" in Bellingham.

That one fits my timeline perfectly but it doesn't sound very well supported so I was hoping for more options. Is it just too cold around here for there to be much interest? Am I missing knowledge of some major events?

This is the only other one that I am aware of.  I've not done this race but sounds like a nice course.

I did see that one too! I was leaning more towards that since it didn't look to be quite as cold as Bellingham! I think it's put on by the same company and under supported as well. Also they haven't released their 2016 date yet!

I adjusted my schedule and am shooting for the Seattle Marathon 11/27.

I did the Last Chance half marathon in Bellingham on Dec 31st 2015.  It was cold.  Cold.  COLD.  23 degrees race start.  It was a fun course, with a lot more trail running than I am used to.  The full is two loops of the half course, and that would have been tough. The race is small but surprisingly well supported.  I'd do it again.

The Seattle full is a good race.  I've done it twice.  The Seattle half is all the hard parts of the Seattle full - the extra 13.1 miles on the full is an flat out and back on Lake Washington Blvd plus a flat out and back on the I90 express lanes.
