Anyone doing a century ride in the next couple of months? I'm in Daly City and would like to join a person/group for a century ride sometime soon. Let me know if you plan on doing one, and what pace you generally ride at.

Check out the Almaden Cycle Touring Club. They do a few centuries a month as training rides.

Good luck.

I own both a road bike and a tri bike. I am wondering which bike I should be riding during off season training, or does it matter?

Have a goal when you get into the water. If your purpose is distance, then set your pace for endurance. If your objective is speed, then incorporate drills.
