Good morning! Off day for me, as well.

Question - I notice you are getting your workouts in really early. What kind of sleep do you get, and if it's shortened, has that had a noticeable effect on you? I'm thinking as my training increases, I might have to do the same, but am a bit apprehensive about possibly cutting into my sleep time.

Have a great day!

Off day for me too. I'm on my way to Zion to do the Trans Zion Trek. I'm giving myself a conservative 3 days to run almost all of it, with a 4th day to finish the other end just to say I did it all. I'll take a million pictures. Have a great week!

Happy Monday!

I got to the pool early after running errands so I went for a 3 mile run while waiting for them to open up, then swam 1650.

Hey there!

I think the key for early workouts (at least for me) is making sure I get to bed early. Stinks sometimes, but the only way I can handle getting up at 4am multiple times per week!

5:30am - 5 mile run.
8:30am - 1 hour ST
9:30am - 45 min spin

Good day for me. I did some hard running with intervals, bike with some intervals and some weights.

It's going to get warm this week so running will be interesting.

Have a good week everyone

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
