Subject: Who is racing this weekend ?

I am Sunday.  I am a little out of shape, a little fat but a little excited.  This race last year was one of my best results since I started so I had high hopes this year.  Sadly I decided it would be more challenging if I didn't swim more then once a week (that's a generous estimate) , bike much or have a lot of run volume under my belt.

Had a surprisingly good race a few weeks ago but I think that was due to some MIA's.

What do you have ?

Eagleman 70.3 on Sunday.

My run fitness is there... as evidence by my 2 marathon PRs, half mary PR, and 2nd best 5K result all being set since mid March.  This, however, has been at the expence of ridding (only 2 rides in excess of 40 miles and only 400 total since IM FL), and swimming (0 total meters since IM FL, unless you count snorking on vacation in Feb.).  So we'll see how it goes!

Good luck to all.

Racing a short, hard sprint.  .5 mile swim, 6 mile bike, 2 mile run.  f done right hurts a lot more than a 70.3 (just for a lot less time LOL).   This was my first ever tri back in 2005,and I've raced or volunteered here every year.

Doing a Masters long course swim meet this weekend.  Swimming 50 fly,100 free, 50 back, 50 breast and 50 free.

Chronic leg issues are likely going to keep from doing any tri's for the rest of the year.

Hey I'll see you out here.

It's my "ironman" debut this weekend. So we'll see how the 70.3 and me get along.

Not happy about starting as almost the last swim wave, but what're you gonna do?

I am doing my first sprint in three years. It was the only race I could find that fit into my family's schedule this month. Recovering from an injury I focussed on swimming so I'm nervous about my bike and run fitness. Cross fingers

Had a good race. 62/222. 4th in age group. Much improved over 162ish/320 and 28/34 in age group two years ago.

Best part was swimming straight in the open water!

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
