Training for my first triathlon in July....I've done a marathon, an ultra, some biking and I am working on my swimming! Need recommendations for a tri suit that won't kill my budget...I am a teacher..lol

Welcome to the site and congrats on jumping into the world of triathlon. You really don't need a "tri suit" just to compete in tris. Tri shorts can be as little as 30 bucks, and then you can just wear a bike jersey or some other tight fitting shirt to cut on drag. Tri shorts are like bike shorts but with less padding so you can swim and run in them too. Good luck and ask as many questions on here as you like.

Well hello Newbie!

Congrats on signing up for your first Tri. I assume running will not be an issue, lol

In regards to a Tri Suit, I recently paid $90 for a 2 piece. I got mine through Voler here locally in California through California Triathlon Club.
You could look at some websites such as trisports.com

I did my first Triathlon in swim trunks, tech tee and a 25yr old bike. Rocked it out in 3:29. The sport does not have to be complicated. Although your choice of distance does make a big difference in equipment. If your doing a sprint or olympic, you can keep it very simple. Once you get into longer distances, then things start to get a little more serious.

Your already strong on the run so I would focus on swimming and then biking, but don't let the running slip away either.

Anyways, best of luck.

I had read the articles on BT, I'd trained, and I thought I had prepared. There were, however, a few things that I didn't internalize despite what I'd been told.
