Comments:

Breathing to my left, I was subjected to the waves hitting my face as I'd breathe. I have to work more on breathing to my right.
What would you do differently?:

Learn to breathe to my right, better.
Transition 1
  • 01m 50s
Comments:

The swim freaked me out. It took a lot out of me and I couldn't get my legs under me on the bike.
What would you do differently?:

Other than swim more in the ocean, I don't know.

I could never get my legs under me. They felt tired the whole bike leg.

Swim better!

This continues to be my best transition.

Nothing. I was no. 1 in my AG in T2

I'm not sure if the course was 4 mi. or not. I have to think it was a little short.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Unfamiliarity with ocean swims. It was an eye-opener. The heat was also a factor.

Event comments:

Lots of fit people racing. Really good venue and a well-run event.
