Hi everyone, I just released a short book on Amazon called The Best Me. It's about my story getting to the starting line of 2013 IMFL. Quit drinking, losing weight etc. Then I talk about what I learned and the system I created to keep on track. It's an hour read.

If you'd like a free copy as a give back to the tri community which has done so much for me, you can go here.

Thanks!

I have a copy. Just a little curios, have you tried dropping a line in different communities? Congratulations on you accomplishments and not trying to downplay these because I'm sure this is good substance for entry levels like myself but you might get some better distinction in a motivational, self help, spiritual community since Ironman and triathlon aren't the usual buzzwords around there. I'll give this a quick read later. Currently have a queue of books to read for vacation if that ever happens.

You know I wrote a program once that consisted of apx. 800 pages of code and offered it for free but never managed to give a single copy away. Can't say it was too interesting... a custom note taking program kind of like Tomboy meets Evernote but before Evernote existed, just not as heavy with features and big panels.

Congratulations on your book. I just clicked for a copy. Look forward to reading it.
I myself just published a book on triathlon with another one coming out shortly.

Best of luck to you!

I just wrote a book on why you should not click on books from a first time poster. (along with other ways to scam people and get personal information)   It should be out by the time you get your first sucker.  Wow, you both wrote tri books at the same time and happened to find this site within days of each other.  You writers.......amazing fellas.

Dude writes a book as his first post. I'm impressed. Better than my stupid how do you change into dry clothes at T1 question for my first.
He has a blog, listed on Amazon, and while a scammer could piggy back, I'd be willing to take the risk while giving minimal information and possibly open the files within a VM or scanned environment. I think that's why my attempt failed, I was deploying the app from my own website which was brand new and untrusted.

Oh and I guess you don't believe I actually wrote a book, huh?

No I believe you, I just think promoting it at post 12,166 shows that you have better community manners... I think.

your blog looks like a portal to an Amazon store.

Many athletes burn far fewer calories than they realize; they are actually couch potatoes the majority of the day. These seemingly active people can be surprisingly sedentary.

How quickly I have fallen from the ranks of the quasi-fit. Last week, after four years of being a couch potato, the stats were not so good.

From couch potato to a tri in 8 weeks. It was the most fun I've had in a long time. The race organizers had it down and there were no problems at all. This was the perfect first tri, in my opinion.

This aggressive couch to 5k program will get you running from nothing and will be the lead-up to any of the sprint programs.
