Subject: Nutrition Intake
Hey all, I have a question on nutrition intake. I need some feedback on what you do.
I take endurance supplements during long training sessions. I plan on taking it during my upcoming half iron.

How do you guys carry, label, manage, and take in supplements? I want an easy way to do this without dropping anything, getting mixed up, or missing it all together. I also really don't want to carry a big bag that looks like a fanny pack.

Thanks so much!

I use Gu's; on the bike I use a bento box. On the run I have a runners belt that can handle about 3 or 4 packs easily, it is small and light barely know it there.

If you needed you could cut some cardboard to size to divide a bento box up.
On the run 2 belts different colors - should be able to find them at most running stores.

for all of my HIM I had everything either in my bento box or jersey pockets. Same for IM. If you use gels you can tape them to the frame of your bike. I'd keep it as simple as possible and practice practice practice your nutrition strategy before your race. That way on race day you won't even have to think about what to take when. I set a timer on my Garmin to remind me (force me) to eat. On the run you can use the aid stations as a guide for eating/drinking.

As hard as you try to avoid it, it calls for you each and every morning. You hate to do it, but for some uncontrollable reason, your feet find their way to the bathroom scale.
