Subject: My Book - 100 Lessons on Tri - FREE for you
I'm very excited that my book went on sale at Amazon last week and sales have gone very well. I've attached a free promo copy for you here as a thank you to Beginner Triathlete and as a way of giving back to the community.

I love to hear your thoughts and to know if you learned some new tips / lessons.

And if you have time to leave a review on Amazon I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

Lance Carter

do not download. there is no book on Amazon with this title.

I suspect this is a trojan or some bait file. I did scan it and there was no virus detected.

Sorry to cause confusion by not posting the full title. It's a long title as it is part of the publishers Six-Word Lesson series.
I posted the link to Amazon in the previous reply.

you might check your PDF document, it doesn't download as a PDF. So it appears to be something rogue.

Like I said on the other thread.....this is a pretty well known fishing scam.  Don't click on these links.

I may write a book about this crap.

I clicked on it at work. We have a pretty sensative virus protection , all that stuff. It allowed me to open up the doc. I ended up looking up the book on Amazon. Google won't find it. You have to go to Amazon and then search. I was able to find it. I skimmed the book. If it's a scam he at least did a little homework from what I read. He's also on ST asking for KQ people to take a survey for another book he's working on. As LB warned though, click on at your own risk. I have no idea on the other thread. Both popping up so close to each otherIs a little odd.

You can look his profile up online since he's a coach. There's an article on WTCs (or whatever they're calling themselves now) about him. For missing KQ by seconds - ouch. Normally when people show up here and are pushing something on their first post I just tune it out. Especially blogs or books. OP here is at least offering it up for free.

I apologize that I have clearly, though unintentionally and unknowingly, created a post that appears like a scam. For that I am sorry and hope you can accept my apology.

I wrote a book that I am proud of and simply want to share it.
Here's the link to Amazon to prove it's a "real" book.
https://www.amazon.com/Six-Word-Lessons-Successful-Triathletes-Essen...

I did my first triathlon back in 1993 - Vineman. I set my PR of 10:18 at Vineman in 1996. I got a lottery slot for Kona in 2013 and did a 12:16. I've done 9 Ironman races total (Vineman x2, IM Canada x 5, IM Cozumel, IM Hawaii).

I own a running store in Kirkland, Wa called Everyday Athlete (www.KirklandEverydayAthlete.com)

I am transitioning away from my life in retail to a full time coaching career. My coaching website is LanceCarterCoaching.com.

I've been a coach for Team In Training for 17 years and have coached runners and triathletes since 1996. I began helping out others in 1996 when I was working at Super Jock 'n Jill in Seattle.

My current book came about because I have written a book (currently in the hands of my editor) about the lessons that I have learned in training, racing and coaching triathletes and runners and how those lessons transfer over to life. How we can use endurance sports to live more fulfilled lives. In the process of pitching that book to publishers I met with Pacelli Publishing who does a series of books on various topics called "Six-Word Lessons". In that meeting I had the idea of writing a book for their series which is the book referenced here. This has created several new ideas for other books. One is talking to people who've qualified for Kona and putting their tips and lessons together in a book. The other is working with physical therapists on strength training routines, tips on injury prevention, stretching routines and things of this nature that will benefit endurance athletes.

Again, please accept my apology. And if I can be of service to this forum I am happy to do so. If the forum would rather I leave then I am happy to oblige.

I'm no administrator but welcome to Beginner Triathlete!
Pay no mind to Left Brain, he can be a bit outrageous but keeps the place fun.

Thank you for sharing your tips. I think long course triathlon is for a different breed.
Nothing calling me to them but I do enjoy reading about those that do them.
Maybe one day if I retire I will find personal interest in them but in the meantime
my hands are full with the short stuff. I think some of your tips apply there as well.
