Subject: What size is my bike
Well I am pretty gre3en to all this but have a thirst for some knowledge. I bought a Giant Defy Alux last year and never really bonded with it. I bought it from a reputable shop ( 5 hrs away) and was fitted to it. I am in the market for a new bike to start my IM training. The problem is size, I am not sure what size my bike is so I am not sure what size to be looking for. I am 5'5" and have a 30" inseam.
Idf someone would please take the time to school me a bit it would be very much appreciated.

You are proportionately leggy. A 54 cm road frame would be a starting point. You may need a slightly longer seatpost,

We are often asked the question, "What size frame should I buy" and the answer is “it depends”. I know that’s not the answer you want to hear, but hopefully the following will shed some more light.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

Is there a magic number of days off for your training plan? Is it a one size fits all or an an individual choice?
