I am trying to figure out why I usually feel pretty terrible later in the day if I do a hard morning workout. I'm wondering if I take in enough calories during breakfast and if that could be the cause. I feel like I rehydrate well enough. So, let's say I do an hour HARD trainerroad workout first thing in the morning. Probably burning around 600 calories. Throw out a number of calories that you likely consume for breakfast afterwards.

If I got done with a hard workout in the morning (which I typically don't do), I probably would eat a normal breakfast that is around 400 calories. Could your issue be doing a hard workout fasted is the culprit? Also, I've found lately that taking electrolytes during harder workouts I feel better afterward with less overall fatigue.

If it's later in the day look at your lunch choices and snacks.
