Subject: Wetsuit question
Has anyone ever made a small one inch cut or so at the bottom of the leg on a wetsuit to help with getting it over the timing chip? Is this crazy?
If anyone has ever done it, was there an issue with the cut "spreading" or growing over time?
Thanks!
PS the race I am in says the chip will not be affected at all if under the suit, meaning it will still log time. Everyone agree on that?

It still logs the time..the legs on your wet suit sound really long, could could just cut and shorten length a little or fold up. Never had problems with timing chip and wetsuit

It has been suggested often to cut off some of the leg , in order to make it easier to get wetsuit off inT1. So, ought to be OK.

As long as ypu make the cut smooth so there is not a starting point for a tear this should be fine.

I'm doing my first tri Saturday. It starts at 7 AM and the forecast is calling for a high of 82 (air temp). Do I need to rush out and get a wetsuit?
