Subject: Injured while training for 70.3 - training advice?
I crashed my bike 4 weeks ago getting ready for a 70.3 4 weeks from this weekend. I was training great and feeling really confident until this big setback. I severely bruised my thigh (and my ego) and just now getting back to training beyond swimming. I have been riding a stationary bike daily for 30-45 minutes and increasingly putting more and more tension on. I hope to get on the bike this weekend and then start running the middle/end of next week. Any advice on how to cram when I have a decent base level of fitness?

Don't cram! Just gradually build back volume and intensity for the next 2-3 weeks, assuming you are pain-free, or at least not having any discomfort that is altering your form. Err on the side of not re-aggravating the injury rather than trying to get back exactly where you were, fitness-wise. Training isn't like a test--"cramming" doesn't really work and carries a lot of risk.

Your race may be passed now, but here is what our BT docs had to say, in case anyone else is looking for the same answer:
