Hey BT! What's up! I am heading out for a nice trail run, gorgeous, cool morning here in the desert! Then spending the day in my classroom. We had so many darn meetings we had very little time in our rooms! Grrrr! Have a great day!

Had a great little brick workout this morning - 20 mile bike / 4 mile trail run.  It was nice and cool with a marine layer extending far inland.  I wish it were that way every morning.

Morning!

My older son had his first Cross Country meet this morning, so that was a blast! Fun seeing him get into the sport!

10am - 75 min trainer ride. Some easy intervals.

Have a great Saturday!

Enjoy the desert for me!

There's a pride parade going on tonight so I'm going to arrange my run to go by the parade and watch for a while, then I'll head over to the springs for some swimming!

Just swimming here--3500m of it! Peaceful as had the pool to myself. I got home just in time to avoid a monster rainstorm that lasted for hours. Did some school work on the computer and then took a nap until the rain stopped. About to start a 2-hour trainer ride-good it's indoor as it looks like it will rain again shortly!

6:30 - 50' easy run. Temperature was cool, with a light breeze. It felt really good.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
