Good morning BT!

4:45am:  65 min run:  10 min WU/6X1200m repeats with 2:00 rest intervals/cool down

5:45am:  30 mins upper body/core

I wasted a lot of time this morning dinking around with my heart rate monitor.  I'm a heavy sweater and every couple of years I burn out my monitor so I think it's time to order another one.

Dennis...yikes, that sounded like a sufferfest, way to push through that.

Karen--the weather you report from your slice of the world is just crazy!

Have a great day BT!

Yikes--I feel sick just thinking about that run at 4:45 AM! (I'm sure I've done something like that sometime, but it still sounds scary!)

AM: 45 minute easy run.

PM: 3000m of swimming, barely.....

Thought my swim was doomed. Repeat of yesterday--couldn't get in the pool until 4:35, by which time it was already looking gloomy outside. Figured I would just swim my workout until I got chased out again. Kept swimming, and finishing sets, but it never really did anything outside. With 200m to go it started raining a bit, and the lifeguard was giving me these "are you done yet" looks, but I'd finished with a really hard 100m and needed to cool down. Maybe five seconds after I got out of the pool (gathering up cap, goggles, and paddles into my bag) the thunder and lightning hit again. MORE TORRENTIAL RAIN AND FLOODING. Complete repeat of last night, only a bit shorter (about 75 minutes). Flooding just as bad since ground is now saturated. Not sure why I bothered to shower and change--should have just walked home in my tri suit and goggles!

Arrrrgh. I really hope the lifeguard got home safely--his wife is expecting in a few months.

ETA This is a different district of the city and not my shot, but we have had a similar level of flooding! A colleague who was coming from downtown last night had water coming in the door of her taxi.

I'm up, but some stretching and coffee is all i'm doing so far today. I might go for a walk when the sun starts to come up.

Still pretty run down. I did get a 90min massage yesterday. Really need to get over this head cold.

That is some crazy weather for sure. Stay safe.

Have a good day!

Got in a nice, easy 40' run this morning. Cold front just pushed through, so the temperature was GLORIOUS - about 59. I had considered taking the whole week off, but I was feeling a bit sluggish and antsy. Really glad I got out.

Have a great day!

Swam at 5:00...I haven't swam in a couple weeks...and it showed!

After a 12 hour work day with Parent Teacher Conferences tonight, I will have a 30 min run waiting for me

5:00am 1500 yd swim followed by a 5:45am treadmill 4 mile run.

Hoping to get an easy ride in this afternoon if the weather cooperates.

Have a great day!
