Pre-race routine:

Had cold muscles due to 7 hours since wake up at 4am and start of race at 11am. Left race site to get breakfast and coffee.
Event warmup:

Due to dangerous weather conditions the swim portion of Ironman 70.3 Racine was cancelled and the bike portion was reduced to 31.4 miles. The run remains at 13.1 miles.

Good nutrition and felt strong throughout the run, although it was slow.

7 hour wait pre-race. Being tired. Hot and Sunny after Thunderstorms.

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
