I've been noticing this quite a bit with my kids and their friends and was even pleasantly surprised when I saw lots of MAGA hats at Iowa State University when I'd visit my boys over the past year.

Basically the brain washing of the youth for generations with liberal policies has been slowly crumbling due to social media.  Combine this with the rediculousness of Generation Snowflake (mellinials) the youth of today are so much more based than I've seen in my lifetime.

With the continued shift of progressives to the radical fringe it's hard for me to see how they turn things around.

I was at a high school hockey game last week.  The announcer told us to stand for the National Anthem.....and then said,"hold on a minute, we're having some problems".  Slowly at first, the student section in our side of the stands started signing.....and then it grew.....and then the kids from the other side of the stands (the other team's school) came running over and all of the kids just belted out our National Anthem on their own.  The adults in the stands stood and cheered those kids for what seemed like 5 minutes when it was over.   We're gonna be fine.

Yep, we're going to be fine.

Oh, and haven't seen a single MAGA hat on the University of Florida campus. Can't say I went out of my way to look but I see thousands of students each and every day. Of course, didn't see at lot of Hillary stuff either, pretty much all Bernie.

Probably afraid of being spit on or assaulted. My daughter won't wear her Trump stuff on campus out of fear for her personal safety.

Her friends were aware she supported Trump before the election. They all thought it was cute, but no worries, the election was in the bag. After the election, her best friend on campus came to her and told her they could no longer be friends because she voted for Trump. Hard lesson in intolerance for my daughter. It strengthened her resolve so she went and joined a young Republicans club.

That's not possible.  The left is about inclusiveness, love, and tolerance.

Did her friend stick to that or are they back to being friends. Good friend of mine called the other day to talk about something random. We're on opposite sides of the fence with politics. After we talked for a bit he said , oh BTW thanks for ruining the country. Then laughed and hung up the phone.

I amazingly held onto the majority of my FB friends through the political season and have a pretty diverse group of friends.  I admittedly don't post much politically on my page, but am very active in political discussions.
I did lose a friend recently because he would spam liberal propaganda several times a day and he didn't like when I would point out the factual flaws in the fake news he was posting.
