Subject: Noseplug/earplugs?
Newbie here. Haven't even jumped in my local indoor pool yet to start training, but I'm wondering if you guys would recommend ear and or nose plugs? I have a pair of jammers, I have a swim cap. Are the other items necessary or advised?

Thanks!

I wouldn't start out with either nose or ear plugs. You are better off without them. Two more things that can go wrong in a race.

I agree about not using a nose plug. The likelihood that it gets knocked off during a race is high and you'll just be starting bad habits. I'm less concerned with ear plugs especially since your cap will protect more.

Have used a noseplug for years after getting sinus pain after swims. Don't use if you don't need to though!
